SAMUEL HANSON - BA Musical Theatre | Masters Teaching (Secondary)

Samuel’s creative career started in Grafton where he studied music & drama at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium of Music for 8 years. Samuel has had leading roles in many community and educational musical productions including Joseph, Into The Woods, The Pajama Game and Grease. In 2009, he graduated from Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) with a Bachelor of Music Theatre and also received the award for Excellence in Voice Studies. Samuel was also part of the Pop Opera Vocal Group “Formidable”, which released it’s debut album Fully Formed in 2009, and was the headline act in many community events.  

Since moving to Sydney, Samuel has been a part of The Sydney Fringe Festival, he performs at The Star in a contemporary Jazz duo as one of their resident bands with Isabella Wong and he recently completed his Master of Teaching (Secondary). He hopes to insprire young people in the area of performing arts.

ISABELLA WONG - Professional Singer | TAFE Performing Arts Teacher

Isabella’s music journey started when she was just 2 years old learning the piano. In 2005, Isabella was trained in Musical Theatre at Western Sydney Institute of TAFE Nirimba by Broadway Director Stephen Helper and Sarah Matthews where she was awarded the Performing Arts Outstanding Achievement Award. Since then, Isabella has been working as a performing voice over artist and MC presenter for the last 10 years.  Her voice can be heard on TV advertisements and CD recordings both in Australia and overseas.

As a song writer, Isabella collaborated with Australian Idol / XFactor coach Erana Clark on some original music. You can find these at www.isabellawong.com.au.  

In 2013/14, Isabella has been the judge of The Star Karaoke, one of the most lucrative karaoke competition in Sydney. Isabella is also part of The Star resident contemporary Jazz duo band with Samuel Hanson - Scarlet Fusion.

Over the years, Isabella has directed numerous musicals for the community and TAFE. She also wrote and performed her own musical at Sydney Fringe Festival.  Isabella has been the creative director at Burwood Chinese Presbyterian Church, she then taught at the Music and Dance Centre in Chatswood and the Cert III, IV and Diploma courses in Theatre & Screen and Musical Theatre at Western Sydney Institute of TAFE.
